Valhalla Mountain Touring Lodge
If you have never been hiking from a remote lodge, here is your opportunity! Valhalla Mountain Touring Lodge is located in the heart of the Selkirk Mountains, just north of Valhalla Provincial Park. The 19,000 acre tenure is an amazing mix of rugged alpine, high lakes, grassy ridgelines, mossy forest, and wildflower meadows. The views from the top of most peaks peer into a vast sense of wilderness, from the Bugaboos to the Valhalla Ranges, Kokanee Glacier, and the Monashees to the west.
Whether you want to bag peaks, cannonball into an icy mountain lake, or enjoy some fine food in a spectacular setting, Valhalla Mountain Touring Lodge has an incredible mix of terrain.
The only thing better than a long day of hiking through the Valhallas is grabbing a cold beverage out of the creek at the end of the day. Enjoy it on the grass, on one of the many decks, or lean back into the luxury of a leather sofa. As you reminisce about the wildflowers, ridgewalks, and gin-clear alpine lakes, rest assured that any stress or brain busy-ness you may have arrived with, has now, thoroughly, melted away.
